Dr. Rachel Bohnen grew up in Great Neck, New York. For college, she attended Columbia University, where she majored in psychology and pre-dental studies. Dr. Bohnen earned her dental degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, and received the Divisional Excellence in Community Health Award. She continued her training with a post-graduate residency in Pediatric Dentistry at Jacobi Medical Center, in the Bronx, New York. While in dental school and residency, Dr. Bohnen participated in several local and international dental outreach missions, including caring for the oral health of underserved children in Guatemala and Jamaica.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Alpha Omega, and she is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Bohnen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, being active, and reading.
