Dr. Dina Serna was born and raised in Queens, NY and always knew she wanted to help people as a health professional. She received her undergraduate degree at Boston University Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, and went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2008. Upon graduation, Dr. Serna proudly served four years of Active Duty as a Dental Officer in the United States Army. While stationed at Fort Stewart, GA, she deployed to Iraq in 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and spent her days treating dental emergencies and serving our Soldiers’ dental needs.
Dr. Serna has well over 10 years of clinical experience in dentistry obtained through practicing in both the military and private practice. She continues to advance her clinical knowledge by attending dental continuing education meetings, courses and workshops. She finds great satisfaction in helping patients have a positive dental experience and achieve a healthy smile. Dr. Serna is emphatic in treating each patient like she would a family member of her own and taking the time to educate parents and patients on oral health.
When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Serna enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. They enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and having movie nights. Dr. Serna has a strong commitment to service, duty to her Country and fellow Soldiers, maintaining physical fitness and continues to serve in the US Army Reserve Dental Corps.
